INGREDIENTS

4-5 tbsp organic coconut oil
2 tbsp organic beeswax (pastilles work great, or grate if you buy a chunk of beeswax)
2 tbsp Shea butter
1 tsp almond oil
30 drops Essential oils of your choice
I used 20 drops clove, 12 drops sweet orange, and 8 drops cinnamon for a lovely spicy feel
Containers for your lip tint (I use these)

DIRECTIONS

1.) Fill pot with water a couple inches high & turn on low heat.
2.) Add coconut oil to clean & dry mason jar or measuring cup.
3.) *Place jar into hot water, stirring until coconut oil liquifies. This takes about 5-10 minutes.
*Keep stove on low or turn off if water starts to boil
4.) Add alkanet root powder and let infuse into oil for 10 minutes, being careful not to let coconut oil begin to solidify. Turn the stove back on low if it does this (if you’ve turned it off).
5.) Add beeswax, Shea butter, and almond oil to alkanet root-infused coconut oil and stir until all is fully melted and combined.
6.) Keeping mixture warm so it doesn’t begin to harden, add essential oils and stir well.

7.) Immediately pour well-combined lip tint mixture into containers and voila, you have a lovely natural lip tint!
This recipe yields about 4 oz of lip tint.
